My journey into photography began as a little girl with a Polaroid camera, anxiously awaiting to see what magic I could create. Each picture felt like an extraordinary gift that I adored sharing with others. While on a mission trip to Africa in 2013, I photographed some very special children and decided to pursue my dream of photographing weddings. I am honored to have had my work appear in Style Me Pretty, Wedding Sparrow, Carats & Cake, Ruffled, and High Country Wedding Guide. I still feel that same magic each time I pick up my camera, and I’m honored that you are considering me to capture your love story.
I approach my work with each unique couple in mind, creating an experience that is all about you. My photography is romantic, joyful, and timeless, with an editorial style that is full of beautiful light and natural emotion. I specialize in romantic, whimsical, elegant weddings both in the Southeast and destinations around the world. I can’t wait to hear from you, listen to your story, and create something special together!
Initially, I began my photography business to financially partner with ministries in Africa. However, as it quickly grew and as my season of life changed- I decided to transition from portraits into weddings. A true romantic at heart, I quickly knew that wedding photography was where I was meant to be.
I am married to my handsome husband Matt, and together we have a beautiful daughter- Emmalyn Rose. We love playing outside together, slow dancing in the kitchen, and going on as many adventures as we can find.
When I was a little girl, I would sit for hours with a Polaroid camera inside my grandmother's flower garden taking pictures. I loved the sound of the shutter and waiting for the film to develop so that I could see what I had captured.
After college, I began my career in the legal field thinking I would become an attorney since I have always been drawn to helping others. After spending time with some special children in Kenyan orphanages, my life changed forever.
Seeing the power of an image tell someone's story was a magical experience, and it continues to be what drives me to serve my clients. It has been an honor to be an intricate part of the most precious moments in my couple's lives- and it is such an honor for me to walk beside you on your wedding day.
As long as I can remember I have been drawn to helping others. After graduating from college, I believed this meant becoming an attorney. However, after my acceptance to law school I felt less sure that a life in the courtroom was what I was meant to do for the rest of my life. I put my acceptance on hold and traveled across the world on a mission trip to Kenya.
