I had the sweet joy of capturing Little Logan’s newborn photos, and it brought back all the memories of bringing my own baby home! I will never forget those first few weeks with Emmalyn as a new mom- sleepless nights, lots of snuggles, and the most precious coos and yawns. The Shafer’s live in our neighborhood, so close that I could have walked to their session! If you know me, you know I love the color white and would cover every surface in my home in #alltheshadesofwhite – so it’s safe to say I loved Kaitlyn’s style.
Fall can be extremely hectic for wedding photographers, and the week of little Logan’s shoot was booked solid. I reached out to Linda Doan at 3pm before my shoot the next day to see if she had any extra flowers I could use for Logan’s crib and as luck would have it she had buckets full of dahlias and no wedding that weekend! You can imagine my happy dance as I drove out to her farm. Emmalyn LOVED the farm, and even played in a flower bucket while we picked out the perfect shades of pink for Logan’s shoot. A huge thank you to Linda!
My favorite part of the shoot was watching Logan’s big sister, Blair- as she gently held her and cuddled her. What sweetness! It got me thinking of seeing Emmalyn all that grown up and I almost couldn’t take it. They grow up SO fast.
Congratulations Shafer Family- I am cheering for you!
XOXO,
Madeline
