If you dream of a destination engagement session, then this one from Normandy, France is for you! It was an absolute dream for me to attend Lauren Fair + Julie Paisley’s workshop in Normandy, France this past summer. We stayed at the beautiful Chateau de Courtomer in the tiny town of Courtomer in the region of Normandy, which is about two hours from Paris. I have known Julie Paisley for several years and consider her a mentor, teacher, and dear friend- so I was really excited to be able to learn from her in person at a new stage in my business than from when I was first starting out.

This engagement session was so sweet to be a part of! We started off just walking into the small town of Courtomer and getting some shots in the village. I think we surprised the local people quite a bit to see around twenty-five photographers following around these two beautiful people. I am sure they thought we were either crazy Americans or the people were celebrities! Janna Brown put together the perfect outfits for both scenes of the engagement session, and Oleander Curated put together all the styling and florals of the second picnic scene behind the Chateau where we stayed. From the charcuterie board to the book they read to each other, it was such a beautiful shoot to be a part of. I hope that you can draw some inspiration for your own engagement session from this beautifully styled shoot.
