This Austin film engagement session is truly a dream come true for me. A few months ago I looked at my husband and told him that I had been feeling led to start working more in Texas, specifically in the Austin area. I was expecting him to tell me I was crazy because we have a toddler and travel is not always easy for us, but instead he surprised me by saying he thought it was a great idea. Even though Tennessee is my new home, Texas is my first home- and I always feel so good when I am working there. Just a few weeks later Lindsay reached out to me about photographing her wedding in Texas next April. This Austin film engagement session was extra special because Matt was able to go to the session with me, which hasn’t happened in two years and it is always so encouraging to have him there with me.
Traveling for an engagement session is a little nerve wracking since you really want perfect weather, and don’t have the luxury of re-scheduling if the weather turns sour since you are only in town for a weekend. Despite the weather forecast, I spent the plane ride crossing my fingers and sending up lots of prayers because you never know. I was so thankful that we were able to get great weather for their sweet Austin film engagement session. The ladies at Lola Beauty ATX took amazing care of Lindsay and made her look phenomenal! It’s always wonderful when I get to work with fellow Style Me Pretty LBB vendors because I know they are going to do an amazing job and take care of our client.
Lindsay and Scott are the sweetest couple and you can tell they really love each other. Scott was so sweet and attentive and making sure he helped Lindsay navigate the rocks and even offered to go in after her if she fell in 🙂 I cannot wait for their wedding next April at The White Sparrow Barn in Dallas- it is definitely going to be a dreamy day!
Hugs,
Madeline
