When Sarah reached out to me last Fall about photographing her wedding this year, I got so excited to work with her and her fiancee. We have so many things in common from being a military family, to both of us living in Texas and Tennessee.  I say this all the time, but I feel like I develop such a friendship with each of my brides and Sarah is definitely not an exception to that.  All throughout her fiancee’s deployment, I stayed in touch with her and tried to keep her distracted until he made it home safely.  Sarah is such a beautiful person, inside and out- the story of her life, even at such a young age is absolutely incredible- I feel like I am going to watch a sister walk down the aisle next weekend!

With Jacob just back from deployment, we only had a few days before their wedding to squeeze in a last minute engagement session and Sarah had really hoped for some spring blooms. Luckily, after searching and searching all over I found the one and only blooming tree in all of Johnson City during late February…I knew Sarah really trusted me because I asked her to meet me in front of a funeral home to start their session! If I could insert a crying/laughing emoji here I absolutely would, but regardless their photos turned out incredible and I think we are all grateful to the Tetrick’s parking lot garden for their backdrop. After a few photos by the blooms, we headed out to the Side Porch to finish their session!

Despite it hovering around fifty degrees, Sarah was an absolute trooper through the cold and held out to grab some gorgeous photos of the sunset glow with Jacob. I am so proud of you guys- I am cheering for you two!

XOXO,
Madeline
